Berlin considers the agreement on the cessation of hostilities between the United States and Iran as good news and insists on the free and duty-free passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Johann Wadeful, upon his arrival at the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
"This is good news, and we will be watching with great interest in the coming days to see what this agreement entails," he said, referring to the agreements signed between the US and Iran.
"The Strait of Hormuz should be free for navigation again, that is, without any restrictions and without the possibility of setting any customs duties or anything similar," Vadeful emphasized.
