Great Britain will ban the import of diesel fuel and jet fuel produced from Russian crude oil to third countries from January 1, 2027. This is stated in the license issued by the Ministry of Business and Trade.
The ministry explained that the relief for this fuel, which was announced less than a month ago on May 19, was initially only temporary.
“A targeted license has been introduced to support UK supply chains during the transition period. It allowed diesel and jet fuel imports to continue, providing the necessary flexibility while the new restrictions take effect. The license was initially temporary and intended to be revoked as soon as possible to increase pressure on Russia," the statement said.
