The explanatory work is also based on the fact that a person who voluntarily surrenders illegally stored weapons and ammunition is released from criminal liability.
The police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informs that another case of voluntary surrender of illegally stored weapons and ammunition was registered thanks to the explanatory work of the officers of the Artik Department of the Community Police.
"The citizen called the police and reported that he had left weapons and ammunition near the water pipes near the Artik-Nor Kyank road. The operative group that left the department found a machine gun, a machine gun chain loaded with 25 bullets, a "Makarov" type pistol with a loaded storage box, a "J-1" combat grenade with detonators, 100 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber at the place indicated by the citizen.
A case of voluntary handing over of weapons and ammunition was also registered as a result of the explanatory work of the officers of the Ashotsk Community Police Department. A 31-year-old resident of Ashotsk presented a 12 mm sniper rifle and 67 bullets of 7.62 mm caliber to the department and stated that they belonged to the deceased grandfather.
