At least eight people have been killed and several injured after a major fire broke out in a converter workshop at a steel plant in Vishakhapatnam, India's southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh.
According to The Times of India, the fire started after a bottle full of molten metal fell during a smelting operation. Several workers, who received burns on more than 70% of their bodies, were taken to the hospital.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of those killed and injured in the accident and fire at the factory.
