Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is trying to organize a meeting with his American counterpart Donald Trump at the end of June, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
According to sources, the Turkish leader intends to attend the 2026 World Cup match between the USA and Turkey, scheduled for June 25 in Inglewood, California. Erdogan would like to meet with the US president around that time.
It is noted that during the meeting, politicians can discuss bilateral and regional issues, as well as the role of their countries in NATO, before the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance, which will take place in Ankara on July 7-8.
The time and place of the meeting have not been decided yet. The leaders last met at the White House in September 2025.
