Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that the WHO is aware of more than 500 suspected cases of Ebola and 130 deaths from the disease.
"We are currently aware of more than 500 suspected cases of Ebola and more than 130 suspected deaths," he told the 79th World Health Assembly in Geneva.
According to him, 30 cases were confirmed in the north of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and two in Uganda. Among those infected is a US citizen who was transferred to Germany for treatment.
