The Federal Security Service (FSS) has announced that the accreditation of Janse van Rensburg Albertus Gerardus, the second secretary of the British Embassy in Moscow, has been revoked and he must leave the country.
The NSS claims to have found evidence of the diplomat's "intelligence and subversive activities that threaten the security of the Russian Federation, as well as attempts to obtain classified information during informal meetings with Russian economic experts."
Moreover, the NSS claims that the diplomat "deliberately provided false information in violation of Russian law" when applying for entry into Russia.
