"Hraparak" newspaper writes:
"Although the Republican Party led by Serzh Sargsyan is not in a hurry to announce its decision to participate in the June 7 elections, they have scheduled a party congress at the beginning of April. In parallel, the leadership of the RPA actively visits communities and party structures, but these visits, for unknown reasons, are not covered.
We learned that the party is also developing a new, long-term strategy, which should be completed before the congress and presented to the congress participants. They are also implementing internal structural changes.
In short, they are active in party activities. Before the congress, according to everyone, in the middle of March, they will announce whether or not to participate in the elections. If they participate, the first 30 numbers of the pre-election list will be approved during the congress as required by law.
Our sources report that as of now, those who ask say that they do not have a final decision, the question of participating or not is 50/50, but some are sure that this time the RPA will not participate in the elections, but will try to support other opposition political forces to defeat the KP.
