"New circumstances are emerging in the case of bribery of Pedagogical University officials. In particular, "Zhoghovurd" daily learned that the pre-investigation body revealed new circumstances after questioning the persons involved in the case, and it is not excluded that the number of accused will increase. It is also not excluded that the persons holding office at the university at the moment will also appear in the field of law enforcement.
To remind, "Zhoghovurd" daily reported that the criminal proceedings initiated against the rector of the State Pedagogical University of Armenia Srbuhi Gevorgyan is in the final stage. It is not excluded that in the near future the pre-investigation body will announce the end of the preliminary investigation in the criminal proceedings and send the case to the court. ArmLur.am wrote that the Anti-Corruption Court rejected the petition of the investigator to extend the term of house arrest for the rector of RA Pedagogical University Srbuhi Gevorgyan.
Let's remind that on October 10, the Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan Srbuhi Gevorgyan and Vice-Rector Marianna Harutyunyan were arrested.
According to the official clarification, the latter are accused of creating and managing a criminal organization composed of various employees of the university, committing particularly large-scale waste and fraud, as well as receiving bribes.
