Tens of thousands of people took to the streets of central London to participate in the traditional demonstration of support for Palestine, called the "National March for Palestine", reports the correspondent of "RIA Novosti".
The event was organized by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign and a number of groups opposed to Israel's actions and the UK's supply of arms to it.
The participants of the protest started to gather in Russell Square in the center of London at noon local time (15:00 Moscow time) and then marched through the city.
Jewish groups and associations of descendants of Holocaust victims, who are against Israel's actions, also took part in the action.
