Europe should be fully involved in the negotiations for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron announced this on his X social network page after a telephone conversation with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
"I just spoke with President Zelensky. After the G7 meeting under the co-chairmanship of France, generators will be sent to Ukraine for the survival of the population in the winter. France's position is clear. we will support Ukraine as long as it is necessary," the French leader said.
Macron also said that he and Zelensky discussed trilateral talks in Abu Dhabi with the participation of representatives of Russia, Ukraine and the United States. He noted that "Europeans should be fully involved in the discussed issues".
At the same time, the head of state emphasized that Paris is "determined to increase the pressure" on Moscow and is working on new European sanctions.
