"This is the first visit of the British Prime Minister to China in the last eight years. Before going forward, Starmer stated that Britain will not have to choose between China and the US. This position is widely seen as reflecting a more prudent approach to British diplomacy in the face of the changing international situation. This clearly shows that even in the West, block bargaining and confrontation are losing their appeal," the newspaper writes.
