US President's Special Envoy for Syria and US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barak held talks with Iraqi Kurdistan Prime Minister Masour Barzani on the situation with the Kurds in northeastern Syria and the provision of humanitarian aid.
"I had a productive telephone conversation with His Excellency Masour Barzani, during which we discussed the situation in Syria, the importance of maintaining a ceasefire (in areas inhabited by Syrian Kurds) and the importance of providing humanitarian aid to those in need, particularly in Kobani (Ain al-Arab, a city in northern Syria with a predominantly Kurdish population)," Barak wrote in X.
