Fidan discussed the settlement of Ukraine with the French Foreign Minister

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barro during the negotiations held in Ankara.

"During the negotiations, considerable attention was paid to the recent contacts between Russia and Ukraine, as well as to the contribution that Turkey can have in the settlement process," the Turkish minister noted. His speech was shown by TRT Haber TV channel.

According to Fidan, Turkey's contribution to the so-called "coalition of the willing" was also discussed.

On January 23-24, the negotiations of the representatives of Russia, the USA and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi. The Russian negotiating group was headed by Igor Kostyukov, the head of the General Department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, and the Ukrainian part of the tripartite working group was headed by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump's special envoy, Stephen Wittkoff, confirmed the plans to hold a new round of trilateral negotiations this week.
