Russia will consider the possible capture or arrest of Russian ships by Great Britain as a violation of international maritime law.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during the briefing, according to the correspondent of "Lenta.ru".
He emphasized that the Great Britain has always advocated for the protection of that convention. Earlier, The Times wrote that the British authorities have found legal grounds for the possible arrest of tankers connected to the "Russian shadow fleet". According to the publication, the 2018 Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Law is planned to be applied for this purpose.
