During a telephone conversation with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Sergei Shoigu, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, condemned another attempt by foreign forces to interfere in the country's internal affairs, reports "Interfax", referring to the press service of the Russian Security Council.

"Shoigu expressed his condolences regarding the many victims. The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation strongly condemned another attempt by foreign forces to interfere in Iran's internal affairs," the press service said in a statement.

It is noted that the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation expressed readiness to develop bilateral cooperation based on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran.

"The parties agreed to continue contacts and coordinate their positions in order to ensure security," the Security Council of the Russian Federation noted.
