The protest action in front of the Iranian consulate in Istanbul was banned

The governorate of Fatih district in central Istanbul has announced that it has banned a rally in front of the Iranian consulate on Sunday in order to avoid provocations. According to the report, calls were received from supporters of the Iranian opposition about holding a rally in front of the Iranian consulate at 13:00 Moscow time.

"In order to prevent possible provocations and maintain public order, it was considered appropriate to ban the event, as this place is not on the list of places allowed for press conferences.

The event may have a negative impact on the flow of people and traffic, as the consulate is located in an area popular with tourists and local residents," the prefecture said in a statement.
