US authorities are discussing the possibility of nuclear tests

Washington administration officials continue to discuss the possibility of the United States conducting nuclear tests, but no concrete plan has yet been developed. US Energy Minister Chris Wright told reporters at the White House.

"The dialogue on this issue continues," he said, answering the question whether the US intends to resume nuclear explosions for the purpose of testing and when it might happen.

"President Trump is committed to the fact that we must maintain a significant advantage. Our nuclear arsenal should significantly exceed all our adversaries in the world," he added.

Speaking about how the US can conduct the tests, Wright noted: "There's no concrete plan for how we're going to do it."
