US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox News that the US deal with the Ukrainian authorities on rare earth metals was a condition for Washington to continue its efforts for a peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Trump noted that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict generally does not affect the United States.
"It does not particularly affect the United States. It really doesn't affect," he said, emphasizing that he wants to end the bloodshed. Trump added that former president Joe Biden provided $350 billion to Kiev, and that he returned that money by concluding a deal with Ukraine on rare earth metals.
