Rubio discussed the action against Venezuela with the Foreign Minister of Argentina

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Argentine Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno discussed Washington's action against Venezuela during a telephone conversation, according to a written statement from U.S. Secretary of State and Deputy Spokesman Tommy Pigot. Rubio spoke with Quirno about the U.S. actions against Venezuela, which the Secretary of State called a "targeted operation by law enforcement agencies."

Rubio "thanked Foreign Minister Kirno for Argentina's continued cooperation in the fight against narcotics and strengthening security in the region."

As Pigot noted, Rubio also discussed the situation in Venezuela during a meeting with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Prevot on Tuesday.

They also discussed "the importance of cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking and the progress of peace talks on the Gaza Strip." On January 3, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto announced that the United States had attacked civilian and military targets in Caracas. He called Washington's actions military aggression.
