Romania does not intend to send troops to Ukraine

Romania does not intend to send troops to Ukraine. This was confirmed by President Nikusor Dan at the press conference held after the meeting of representatives of "volunteer" countries at the Romanian Embassy in Paris. The recording of the press conference is posted on the website of the President's Office.

"Romania is committed to providing not troops in Ukraine, but logistical support, training of Ukrainian military personnel in Romania or other European countries in cooperation with the armies of the respective countries, and participating in joint armament programs," said the President of Romania.

Dan said that in addition to the joint declaration, a secret military document was also adopted after the meeting. The President of Romania also announced that the logistic center intended to support Ukraine at the 71st air base in Campia Turzi is "already operational".
