Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has strongly criticized Ukraine's request to receive 800 billion dollars of financial support from the West over the next 10 years. RIA Novosti reports that Orban called the amount "amazing".

According to the Prime Minister, the demand presented by Ukraine is almost four times higher than the annual gross domestic product of Hungary. He noted that Kiev presented a "new account" by which it tries to ensure the functioning of the state in the coming decade, stressing that support of such a volume is a serious burden for Europe.

Orbán also stated that Brussels considered a plan to seize Russian frozen assets precisely because of the volume of aid to be provided to Ukraine, and this issue could affect the review of the next EU budget. At the end, he summed up his thoughts with a harsh expression, noting that "the Ukrainian homunculus is asking for food". Earlier, Orban warned that such support to Ukraine could have serious consequences for the citizens of European countries.
