The draft declaration of the "Resolute Coalition" summit was published

The draft of the declaration of the "Resolute Coalition" summit held in Paris on January 6, with the participation of the leaders of the United States and about 30 countries, states that the United States must undertake to support the European forces of the "Coalition of the Volunteers" in the event of an attack.

The document is at the disposal of the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty.

According to the declaration, after the ceasefire comes into force, it is planned to launch a system of guarantees, which has five components:

participation in the US-led ceasefire monitoring and verification mechanism;

Support to the armed forces of Ukraine;

Multinational Forces for Ukraine;

commitment in the event of an anticipated attack;

Commitment to deepen defense cooperation with Ukraine;

The cease-fire monitoring and verification mechanism should be led by the United States with international participation, including the contribution of the Resolute Coalition. It is also planned to create a special committee to review violations and determine response measures.

The discussion on support for Ukraine's armed forces includes funding for weapons acquisitions, support for the defense budget, access to defense personnel for rapid reinforcement in the event of a threat, and support for the construction of defensive fortifications.

The "Coalition of the Determined" will be responsible for the formation of multinational forces in Ukraine. it will be created to support the recovery of the armed forces of Ukraine and strengthen deterrence forces.

It is noted that these forces will operate at the request of Ukraine after a reliable cessation of hostilities and will have European leadership, "with the involvement of non-European members of the coalition and the participation of the United States, including the use of American intelligence and logistical capabilities, as well as the obligation of the United States to support these forces in the event of an attack."

As for the actions in the event of a double attack by Russia, they have not yet been finally decided, judging by the wording of the document.

"We agreed to develop definitive binding commitments that will guide our approach to supporting Ukraine and restoring peace and security in the event of an imminent Russian armed attack," the draft declaration states.

Those commitments may include the use of military capabilities, intelligence and logistical support, diplomatic initiatives, and the application of additional sanctions.

Defense cooperation includes personnel training, joint weapons production and intelligence cooperation.
