In Moldova, peasants took to the streets with tractors to protest

Villagers of Negureni village, Telenesti region, Moldova, started a protest with tractors. According to the protesters, they have no place to sell their products, reports Vasile Kostiuk, deputy of the "Democracy at Home" party.

The organizers of the protest are dissatisfied with the limited availability of Moldovan products on store shelves and the competition from cheap imports.

They accuse the authorities of a lack of clear rules in dealing with large retail chains, which forces them to sell products at a loss or to stop farming altogether.

Previously, the farmers of the mentioned area had complained to the authorities that they were in a difficult situation.
