The decision on Greenland's future should be made by Greenland and Denmark, and the Netherlands supports them in this matter, Greenland's Foreign Minister David van Wiel said, amid threats from US President Donald Trump.
"Greenland plays an important role in ensuring security in the Arctic. The decision on the future of Greenland must be made by Denmark and Greenland. The Netherlands fully supports our Danish friends," the minister wrote on the X social network on Tuesday.
He also noted that the Netherlands encourages dialogue and cooperation between NATO allies to further strengthen our security in the region.
