Kan. Netanyahu asked Putin to convey that Israel does not intend to attack Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to convey to Tehran that Israel does not intend to attack Iran, Kan state television reported, citing a diplomatic source.

This request was made by the Prime Minister of Israel during his recent telephone conversations with the President of Russia.

According to Kahn, Netanyahu asked Putin to convey this message to Tehran, fearing that Iran might preemptively attack Israel to prevent an Israeli strike.

At the same time, the state broadcaster notes that the Prime Minister of Israel, speaking in the Knesset (Parliament) on January 5, stated that Israel sent a signal to Tehran that the consequences for Iran would be "severe" in case of an attack on the Jewish state.

According to Kahn, Israel's "representatives of political circles and security agencies" "recently held discussions on various security issues, including the Iranian issue."
