South Korean authorities viewed North Korea's statements regarding the US operation in Venezuela as part of Pyongyang's anti-American rhetoric, rather than as something new. Yun Min-ho, spokesperson of the Ministry of Unification of South Korea, announced this during a briefing, RIA Novosti reports.
He noted that Seoul does not believe it is possible to find any direct link between Pyongyang's statements on Venezuela and its military activity, including the January 4 missile launch.
Yun Min Ho also added that South Korean authorities will continue to closely monitor the situation.
