The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, signed a decree, which enforced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on 95 individuals and 70 legal entities, most of whom are Russian citizens and residents. This is reported by the official website of the President of Ukraine.
The sanctions are said to target individuals and companies involved in the maintenance of Russia's state defense contracts and the operation of its defense-industrial complex. In particular, they include enterprises and their managers that manufacture and supply products for the Russian military-industrial complex and security agencies in the fields of communications, electronic warfare, microelectronics.
Zelenskyi's office stressed that Ukraine will continue to cooperate with international partners to coordinate decisions on sanctions in relevant jurisdictions.
Some of the restrictions can be taken into account when developing the 20th package of European Union sanctions, which is currently being prepared.
