During a telephone conversation on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump called on European leaders to put pressure on Volodymyr Zelensky to accept Washington's proposed plan for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
"During a telephone conversation that was described as tense, Trump told the leaders of Germany, France and Great Britain that they should pressure Zelensky to accept the terms of the peace plan proposed by the United States," the publication said.
It should be noted that a telephone conversation on the topic of Ukraine took place with the participation of Trump, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
