President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he discussed legal and other issues related to the possibility of holding elections with the Ukrainian parliament and called on other countries, including the United States, not to put pressure on this issue, Zelensky said in his video message.
The President of Ukraine noted that he had a thorough discussion with members of the parliament, adding that he will not allow any speculation against Ukraine. "If partners, including our main partner in Washington, talk so much and so specifically about the elections to be held in Ukraine, elections under martial law, then we must give legal Ukrainian answers to every question and every doubt," he said.
"It is not easy, but we definitely do not need pressure on this issue. I expect that the members of the parliament will present their views. Security challenges depend on partners, first of all, on America. Ukraine must respond to political and legal challenges. And they will be," said Zelensky.
