The specialist referred to the results of the meta-analysis published in the journal Sleep Medicine Review in 2019. Scientific work has shown that a few hours before bedtime, the spread of hot water reduces the time required to sleep.

Rochhas explains that under the influence of hot water, the skin's blood vessels widens, and the body is more active in excessive heat. This process stimulates the production of Melatonin, which is a hormone, which regulates the circles of rhythms and helps reduce the cortisol level of stress. As a result, the body easily enters the state of training.

The specialist added that the hot shower also prolongs the deep sleeping stage, which is necessary for coordinating memory and recovery of cells.
