Commenting on the leaders' negotiations, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that President Vladimir Putin has conveyed proposals for resolving the crisis over Iran to his American counterpart Donald Trump.
"At the moment there is no opportunity to elaborate, and there are no such intentions.
The president forwarded these proposals to his colleague. We will see how the approval process will go," he said when asked about the essence of Moscow's initiative. The topic of lifting sanctions on Russian oil was not discussed in detail during the conversation, Peskov explained.
He attributed the White House's decision to lift restrictions on certain countries to efforts to stabilize the situation in world markets.
