According to the data published by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the United States has damaged or destroyed about 50 Iranian naval vessels since the beginning of the military operation against Iran. CENTCOM claims that the strikes are aimed at facilities related to the Iranian security system, giving priority to those targets that have been assessed by the US military as an "imminent threat".
CENTCOM said the affected facilities included command centers, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) headquarters, intelligence facilities, air defense systems, ballistic missile sites, missile and drone production facilities, and military communications infrastructure.
The operation involves B-1, B-2 and B-52 strategic bombers, F-15, F-16, F-18, F-22 and F-35 fighter jets, A-10 attack aircraft, EA-18G electronic warfare aircraft, MQ-9 drones and other reconnaissance and support assets.
