US President Donald Trump may support the assassination of Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, if he does not accept US demands, such as developing nuclear weapons, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
On the night of March 9, Iran's Council of Experts confirmed that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US and Israeli airstrikes, was elected the new supreme leader of the Islamic Republic.
"Trump has told advisers that he will support the assassination of Iran's new supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, if he is not ready to give in to US demands, such as halting Iran's nuclear weapons program," the publication reported, citing former and current US officials.
