No one will be able to import an electric car to the Republic of Armenia without customs duties this year. This was reported by the press service of the RA State Revenue Committee.


"The State Revenue Committee informs that in 2024 on October 16, the import tariff quota within the framework of the 0% import duty rate for vehicles with an electric motor was exhausted. "In the conditions of the exhaustion of the 7,400 units set in advance, the import tariff quota was increased by another 600 units, after which 600 vehicles with an electric motor were licensed and released in the period between October 11-16," the message says.


A 0 percent import duty rate for 8,000 vehicles has also been set for 2025, it said.


In order to use the 2025 quota, it will be necessary to submit and register the customs declaration or the customs entry order for the means of transport imported into RA from January 1.
