Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated non-competitively in the 11th "Sports Cup" mountain biking tournament in Aparan, and then took part in the awarding ceremony of the tournament.
The winners of the tournament received monetary awards, the prize pool was 1,500,000 drams.
The race track was about 40 km long. The Prime Minister thanked for the created atmosphere and congratulated both the winners and the cyclists who did not take prize places.
The head of the government emphasized that the bicycle march gives an opportunity to discover the area in a new way. The Prime Minister noted that this race track can be turned into a cycling track and expressed the readiness of the RA Government to provide support in this matter. As a result, according to Nikol Pashinyan, this mountain biking route can become a brand related to a healthy lifestyle in the larger Aparan community.
Nikol Pashinyan noted with satisfaction the fact that foreign citizens will also participate in the tournament and expressed hope that the Aparan mountain bike tournament will become international.
According to the Prime Minister, it will give an opportunity to highlight our homeland, this beautiful part of the homeland, a new level of well-being, bring income to the community, the people living there, and create a real atmosphere of cooperation.
The Prime Minister also congratulated everyone on the occasion of the "Erebuni-Yerevan" celebration of the capital.
