On October 10, Russian Ambassador to Armenia S.P. Kopirkin made a working visit to Gyumri. During the meetings with the representatives of the Shirak marz community authority, the possibilities of deepening multidisciplinary ties with the Russian marz were considered, the Embassy informs.
The Russian Ambassador visited the location of the 102nd Military Base of the Russian Armed Forces of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation and the Leninakan Detachment of the Border Guard Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation, and also participated in the "Education in Russia. at the opening of the exhibition of Russian universities "Gyumri 2024" in Gyumri.
In his speech at the event, he mentioned the importance of access to Russian higher education for the youth of the Republic and the significant contribution of graduates of Russian universities in strengthening bilateral relations in all fields.
Within the framework of the exhibition, which was organized by the representative office of "Rossotrudnichestvo" in Armenia with the support of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia and the Gyumri Municipality, the leading Russian universities of higher education presented their educational capabilities and initiatives to the schoolchildren of Shirak Marz.
Prospective applicants were able to learn more about Rossotrudnichestvo's Education in Russia free study program for foreign students.
