We call on Baku and Yerevan to show restraint and avoid sharing the situation. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova, commenting on the issue of the Armenian journalist on misinformation spread by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
"Well, of course, we cannot worry that, as soon as I said, against the background of the implementation of the draft peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the recent increase in tensions on the border of the two countries. Of course, we strongly call on our partners to show restraint and avoid any actions that can aggravate the situation. All the problems that have arisen must be solely resolved in peaceful, political and diplomatic means. And, of course, we are in favor of returning Baku and Yerevan as soon as possible at the highest level from 2020 and 2022 to the package of trilateral agreements.
Now, as for Russia's obligations to Armenia within the CSTO within the framework of the bilateral format, they are all in force, everyone knows all well. At the same time, I remind that I think that the freezing of its membership in the CSTO to the CSTO does not contribute to Armenia's security, which is obvious, "he said.
