Kyrgyzstan will resume flights with Tajikistan, which have been interrupted from 2021

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have agreed to resume air communication between the two countries, which was interrupted in 2021. The statement came from Kyrgyz President Saryan Japkinov after talks with Tajikistan leader Emomali Rahmon.

"We have agreed to resume air travel," he said. According to him, the bus service between the parties will also be restored in the near future.
The first flight between Dushanbe and Bishkek will take place after the restoration of air transportation will take place on March 14, Rakhmon said. The flight will also be operated from the administrative center of the Tajik region, from Khujand to the capital of Kyrgyzstan and vice versa.

"We have already given instructions on the first day of opening Dushanbe-Bishkek, Bishkek-Dushanbe and Bishkek-Khujand flights, that is, two routes," said the head of Tajikistan.

According to him, the presidents instructed the relevant structures to take steps to resume land transport communication, including between border regions. Rahmon stressed that the mutually beneficial use of each other's transit and transport capacity will provide the sustainable development of the two countries and the region's economies.
