Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone, which is the affordable flagship of the South Korean company. Visually, the new model is almost identical to its predecessor. The key changes lie in the device's hardware.The device features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.At the heart of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is a 10-core Samsung Exynos 2400e processor, which includes one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.1 GHz, five Cortex-A720 cores clocked between 2.6 to 2.9 GHz, and four Cortex-A520 cores running at 2.0 GHz. All configurations come with 8 GB of RAM, while storage options include 128, 256, or 512 GB.On the front, the device features a 10 MP camera with f/2.4 optics and autofocus. The rear camera system consists of a 50 MP main module with f/1.8 optics, Dual Pixel autofocus, and optical image stabilization, a 12 MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 optics, and an 8 MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 optics.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is powered by a 4700 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh larger than its predecessor. The dimensions are 162 × 77.3 × 8.0 mm, and the weight is 213 grams. It is slightly thinner than last year's model but slightly heavier.The device also has IP68 water and dust resistance. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE will be available in "Graphite," "Gray," "Blue," and "Mint" colors. It runs on Android 14 with Samsung's OneUI 6.1.1, featuring various Galaxy AI functions.The Galaxy S24 FE will start at $649 for the 128 GB version, which is $50 more than last year's S23 FE. Sales will begin on October 3rd.
