Turkey has announced its readiness to mediate on the issue of Ukraine

Turkey has informed the conflicting parties, as well as Western circles, about its readiness to mediate to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, but there is no concreteness in this direction, a source in the country's presidential office told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced that Turkey offers to act as a mediator in possible future negotiations on the settlement of Ukraine. Turkey is ready to support diplomatic initiatives related to Ukraine, it is the only way to resolve the conflict, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated earlier.

"We have told all the parties to the conflict, including our Western partners, that we are ready for mediation," the interlocutor of the agency said.
