Orbán assessed the damage caused to Hungary by anti-Russian sanctions

The total damage to Hungary from the sanctions against the Russian Federation amounted to more than 18 billion euros, so Budapest is now asking the European Union to consider the possibility of further extending the sanctions, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said.

"Sanctions took away 7500 billion forints from us. And now the issue of extending the sanctions is on the agenda.

And I asked the European leaders to understand that it is not possible to continue like this, to force Hungary to pay this amount of money. Of course, this is a threat to others as well, this is their problem, not ours, not mine, not the Hungarian state," Orbán said on Kossuth radio station.
