Starmer. Europe will have to increase aid to Kiev after Trump takes office

Europe will have to do more to help Ukraine after the US President-elect Donald Trump returns to the White House on January 20, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said.

"Yes, I think we really need to do more together for Ukraine, I think this is being done throughout Europe," the head of government said in an interview with the European publication "Politico".

"I am absolutely confident that President-elect Trump clearly understands the important role of the United States in resolving the conflict," Starmer said, adding that London is working with Washington on this issue every day and will continue to do so.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that Britain intends to play a "full role" in any possible initiative to settle the conflict, including sending peacekeepers to Ukraine.
