The British Prime Minister traveled to Kyiv to sign a 100-year partnership agreement


On January 16, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer arrived in Kyiv to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The leaders are expected to sign a 100-year partnership agreement, the Associated Press reports.

The document covers such areas as defense, science, energy and trade, as well as Ukraine's integration into European and world structures. It is noted that Starmer's unannounced visit is his first visit to Ukraine after taking office in July 2024.

Although he already visited the country in 2023, when he was the leader of the opposition. During the visit to Kyiv, Starmer will also discuss what security guarantees Britain can offer to Ukraine.
