South Korea's president refuses to testify

The President of the Republic of Korea Yun Seok-yeol, who was arrested in the case of rebellion and taken to the anti-corruption investigation department against high-ranking officials, refuses to testify. This is reported by Yonhap agency with reference to the leadership.

Earlier it was reported that the interrogation in the department started around 11:00 local time (05:00 Moscow time). It is also said that the interrogation was not filmed due to Yoon Seok Yeol's disapproval.

The head of state said that he decided to appear for questioning when the law enforcement officers "invaded the protected area".

The department noted that the arrest warrant was executed. Yoon Seok Yeol was taken away from the residence in a security car. The police and management started the second arrest attempt early in the morning.
