On December 23, 2022, the Law "On Foreign Intelligence Activities and Foreign Intelligence Service" adopted by the National Assembly established the Foreign Intelligence Service in October 2023, which, due to the nature of its activity, will also deal with information containing state secrets.
On January 10, the head of the RA Foreign Intelligence Service Kristinne Grigoryan presented the proposed amendments and additions to the Law on "State Secrets" at the session of the Standing Committee on State-Legal Affairs.
It is recommended to provide the employees and employees of the Foreign Intelligence Service, as well as individuals cooperating with the service, with permission to access information containing state secrets.
According to the keynote speaker, permits will be issued according to existing procedures.
With the adoption of the project, it is expected to ensure the normal operation of the Foreign Intelligence Service.
