Are there any Armenian citizens among those who died as a result of fires in California?

According to the information available at the moment, there are no Armenian citizens among the victims of the fires that broke out in the US state of California.

"The RA Consulate General in Los Angeles is working as usual, consular reception is being carried out.

On January 8, about three dozen phone calls were received with questions of a consular nature.

The Consulate General is in constant contact with local authorities, particularly Los Angeles and Glendale municipalities, as well as community structures," said the spokesperson of the RA MFA.

Fires in California have already killed five people, there are injured. The Palisades fire has spread to more than 2,000 hectares with zero containment and destroyed about 1,000 buildings, local authorities said earlier.

Many houses were burnt, including houses of movie stars and celebrities.

The Los Angeles Fire and Rescue Department issued evacuation orders for Hollywood Boulevard to the south, Mulholland Drive to the north, the 101 Freeway to the east and Laurel Canyon Boulevard to the west, home to prominent film, television and music locations.
