The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reported that on January 5, two local residents attacked two foreigners traveling from Zugdidi to Mestia and stole their mobile phones.
The man was shot and his body thrown into the river. As a result of investigative actions, the Georgian police managed to detain two men born in 1986 and 1992. They face life imprisonment.
The body of the murdered man was found in the Nakra river.
