In some parts of the city, the water level has risen above the knees. Traffic has become difficult, and in some places, it has completely stopped. Cars cannot overcome strong water flows and break down. There were also major traffic jams in the city.
As a result of the heavy rain, strong flows of water appeared on the slopes and steps. The beach was also flooded. The water reached the shops there, as a result of which some vendors stayed inside and waited for the water level to recede.
A tree fell in one of the streets, damaging a car.
Locals and tourists were urged not to visit beaches and stay away from unstable structures. It is predicted that heavy rains will continue in Sochi tomorrow.
