The police and rescuers have been put on enhanced duty

On December 30, Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan was present at the regular inspection of Police and Rescue Service personnel. Chief of Police-Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Aram Hovhannisyan and Director of the Rescue Service Kamo Tsutsulyan presented the general preparation of the units.

The stocking of official vehicles, their technical condition, the adequacy of the special equipment and equipment used, and the appearance of the employees were checked. Addressing the employees, the minister urged them to strengthen the service ahead of the New Year and Christmas holidays in order to prevent incidents and accidents and ensure safe traffic.

Arpine Sargsyan called on the police to be strict with lawbreakers, to strengthen surveillance in the direction of detecting cases of driving while intoxicated, to carry out duty in crowded places and shopping centers, which will contribute to the effectiveness of maintaining public order and ensuring public safety.

He instructed to intensify the work in the direction of preventing crimes within the framework of enhanced surveillance, and to respond promptly to the already registered cases, using all the potential.

The minister urged the rescue workers, due to weather changes, to strengthen the control of the highways of the republic, to carry out duty, as well as preventive measures, to promptly respond to citizens' alarms.
After the inspection, the units went into reinforced service.
